The creation process

In May 2010, Petwalk Solutions GmbH was founded by Klaus Kindl as part of a research project. As a visionary inventor, Klaus developed the innovative petWALK pet door, which allows pets free access to their homes while increasing safety and comfort for their owners.

Klaus Kindl was not only the founder, but also the creative mind behind the entire product development. From the first sketch to series production, he drove the design and construction of the petWALK pet door. His commitment to high-quality and functional products set new standards in the pet industry.

Tragically, Klaus died of cancer in 20XX, which marked a turning point in the company's history. During this difficult time, his partner Michaela Steinberger took on a central role in the company and continued Klaus' legacy. Stefan Winkler, who was initially responsible for marketing, followed as managing partner and brought fresh impetus and innovative ideas to the further development of petWALK.

The headquarters are located on a 16-hectare site of a historic cotton spinning mill dating back to 1840, conveniently located on the outskirts of Neunkirchen. Here we share the premises with several companies and a variety of lovely animals, which reflects our passion for pets.

Since then, PetWALK has established itself not only as a pioneer in the development of pet doors, but also as a company that impresses with technological innovation and high-quality products. Our goal remains to enrich the lives of pets and their owners with smart solutions.
