Door Reset

If the restart failed after interrupting the power supply, there is a small reset button located between the metal plate and the white battery connector, in the area to the right and above the white component that protrudes slightly from the cover plate. You can carefully press the rocker switch here with a ballpoint pen or similar object. The restart is successful if the red circle on the display lights up afterward. After a rattling sound, the pet door is reinitialized and ready for use.

Alternatively, you could unplug the white battery connector with the red and black cables (Caution! This connector has a locking tab on the underside, which is best pressed with a small screwdriver when unplugging) and then unplug the power adapter from the wall socket until all the lights on the display go out. Then plug the white connector and the power adapter back in (briefly switch off the circuit breaker if it's a wall-mounted power adapter).
