Find the right size

Two models to choose from

The “Medium” model has a passage dimension of 200 mm wide and 300 mm high and is suitable for cats and smaller dogs.
The “Large” model is suitable for larger dogs with a shoulder height of up to approx. 60cm and has a clearance of 300mm wide and 500mm high.

How do I determine the right size?

The shoulder width and chest height of the animal determine the minimum clearance.
The belly height is the measure for the maximum installation height and the shoulder width for the passage width.
If several animals of different sizes are to use the door, the largest animal is the model to choose from and the belly height of the smallest animal is the determining factor for positioning the petWALK pet door.
The petWALK pet door is particularly comfortable when your pet can go through the door without having to duck or climb up. This is achieved when the upper edge of the door is clearly above the withers (the raised transition from the neck to the back) and the lower edge is just above the ground.
If the petWALK pet door is installed in narrow structures, such as glazing or doors, even much larger animals can use the door without any problems and the door can also be installed a little higher.
Please note, however, that for the sensors to function optimally, the lower edge of the door leaf must not be higher than the shoulder of the smallest animal.

If you are unsure about the size, we recommend cutting the opening out of a piece of cardboard and testing it with your pet.
For a particularly small animal, you can make it easier to use by adding a small pedestal
