Statutory warranty and guarantee provisions

Statutory Warranty Rights:

As a consumer, you have statutory warranty rights for defective goods. These exist independently of any additional voluntary manufacturer's warranty that may be provided.
The statutory warranty within the European Union is generally at least two years from the date of delivery of the goods. Depending on the applicable national law, further rights or longer periods may exist.
In the event of a defect, you are entitled to the legally stipulated rights to free repair or replacement within the framework of the statutory warranty. Under the statutory conditions, a reasonable reduction in price or the dissolution of the contract or reimbursement of the purchase price may also be considered.
Statutory warranty rights are not restricted by voluntary guarantees.

Warranty Terms:

In addition to the statutory warranty claims that the consumer (end customer) has against the seller (e.g., a reseller) or against Petwalk Solutions GmbH ("petWALK"), petWALK grants the consumer a voluntary manufacturer's warranty under the following conditions, provided the purchase was made directly from petWALK:

  • New devices and their components that exhibit a defect due to manufacturing and/or material faults within 24 months of purchase will be repaired by petWALK at its discretion in the factory or, if repair is disproportionate, exchanged for an equivalent device. No on-site repairs/exchanges will be carried out by petWALK. The components or the door module are sent at the customer's risk; the shipping costs will be borne by petWALK, provided this has been agreed with petWALK in advance. Any costs for the removal or installation of the components or the door module are to be borne by the customer. For wear parts (battery, seals, decorative elements, slip clutch), this manufacturer's warranty applies for a period of 6 months from purchase.
  • This warranty does not apply if the defect in the device is due to improper handling, modifications to the product by the buyer or third parties, and/or non-compliance with the manual, particularly regarding the intended installation of the product recommended by petWALK. Mechanical damage caused by leaking batteries (in the remote control), or by force majeure, water, lightning, etc., are also excluded from the warranty.
  • The warranty does not extend to services of any kind provided by an authorized dealer or by the customer themselves.
  • The purchase receipt with the date of sale serves as proof of warranty. The warranty is not transferable and applies only to the original purchaser of the product. No new warranty period begins when the product is resold. Warranty claims must be asserted against petWALK immediately after becoming aware of the warranty event.
  • Replaced devices or their components that have been exchanged as part of the warranty repair become the property of petWALK.
  • The guarantor is Petwalk Solutions GmbH, Josef Huber Straße 6, 2620 Ternitz, Austria.
  • Further liability for indirect and consequential damages, in particular for damages that have not occurred to the device itself, is excluded. The exclusion of liability does not apply insofar as liability is mandatory, e.g., under product liability law, in cases of intent, gross negligence, or due to the breach of essential contractual obligations.
  • Warranty services do not extend the warranty period, nor do they initiate a new warranty period for the replaced or repaired parts.
  • If there is no warranty case, petWALK reserves the right to charge the customer for the repair or exchange. petWALK will inform the customer about this in advance.
  • The consumer's statutory warranty rights remain unaffected by this warranty and continue to exist independently of it.
