Important steps before installing the petWALK pet door

Before you start the installation in a wall, glass, or door, there are a few essential steps to keep in mind.

1. Arrival

Check the package for external damage immediately upon receipt: Transport and packaging damage occurs during transit and is the responsibility of the shipping service provider. Please note: By signing, you confirm not only receipt of the delivery but also the integrity of the goods. If there is visible damage to the box, report it immediately to the courier and have the complaint confirmed. Only sign for the delivery with a reservation. In case of doubt, please do not accept the delivery.

2. Check for completeness

After unpacking, check the scope of delivery for completeness.

3. Perform a function test immediately upon receipt

Always perform the function test immediately after arrival – even if the installation is planned for a later date.

⚠️ Safety note: Installation only when powered off!

Please be meticulously careful to ensure that installation is carried out only when there is no power connection. If the inner and outer flanges are wired or joined while under power, the control board can be damaged. The power supply unit may only be connected once the pet door is fully installed, completely wired, and screwed into place.

🔋 Note for later installation:

If you intend to install your pet door at a later date, store it in a suitable location and charge it for 24 hours at least every 2 months. This reliably protects the integrated emergency battery from deep discharge.
