Error message E02: Obstruction when closing your petWALK
If the error message E02 appears on the display of your petWALK pet door, it means that the door panel encountered an obstacle when closing. To protect your pet and the mechanics, the door immediately stops the process in such a case. This message is displayed if the door panel could not close completely even after several attempts.
What happens if there's an obstacle?
The petWALK pet door thinks for itself: After a blocked closing attempt, it waits briefly and tries again after two seconds. Only after the third unsuccessful attempt is the error message E02 permanently displayed.
Since an open door poses a safety risk and the burglar-resistant function must be maintained, the door continues its closing attempts with acoustic warning signals until the obstacle is removed. The message transparently informs you about the incident.
How to fix the error:
- Remove obstacle: Check the swing area for toys, pebbles, or dirt.
- Check cause: If the door is already closed again, briefly investigate what might have disturbed the process.
- Acknowledge error: Press the OK button on your remote control. The display returns to normal mode.
